The human brain
The brain is the part of the brain responsible for higher functions related to intelligence. It has two hemispheres, right and left, each of which has four lobes: frontal, temporal, parietal and occipital. The outermost part of the brain is the cortex, or cortex, formed by a huge number of interconnected neurons.

The cerebral cortex has two distinct parts: the paleocortex, related to the reception of olfactory stimuli and small, and the neocortex, characteristic of mammals and in humans is very developed through gyri and sulci that greatly increase its surface , allowing the great specialization of crebra, whose features include:

• The existence of distinct functional areas responsible for specific tasks, and lateralization, funcionesdel differentiates the left hemisphere, such as language, movement or right hand precisosde analysis capacity, the right hemisphere, including are the spatial vision, the expression of emotions or left hand movements.
• The great
development of the frontal lobe, which in addition to controlling motor functions is responsible for unique intellectual abilities (emotions, capacity planning and concentration at work, control and use of memory, decision making ...)
• The development of temporal and prefrontal areas (Broca and Wernicke areas) of the left hemisphere, which are related to language, and that could begin to occur from the earliest stages of hominid evolution.
