CELLULAR IMMUNITY Involves two types of lymphocytes:
T lymphocytes, B lymphocytes and
non-T. It is effective for the destruction of:
-Foreign cells
Own tumor-cell
Virus-infected cells
-Infected cells by an intracellular growth
T LYMPHOCYTES T4 LYMPHOCYTES
LYMPHOCYTES T H: The
role is to stimulate other T cells and B lymphocytes
T LYMPHOCYTES D: cause the increase in the number and activity of macrophages
T8 LYMPHOCYTES T CELL C: result in the destruction of target cells
ST LYMPHOCYTES: avoid excessive or inappropriate immune response. Lymphocytes deactivated when control has been achieved antigenic agents.
-A phagocyte capture a foreign element and after digestion. makes it an antigen presenting cell
"The complex binds to T cell antigen receptor leading to the activation of this
"When T Hcells are activated. It also activates T lymphocytes and T
C SNO-B-CELL NON-T
perform a specific response
There are two types:
.- K cells attack cells coated with antibodies
.- NK cells act similarly to the previous
TYPES OF IMMUNITY INNATE IMMUNITY nonspecific mechanisms .-
.- Acquired Immune defense mechanisms of antigen exposure
ACQUISITION OF STATE IMMUNITY
ACTIVE IMMUNITY .- acquired after having produced an immune response in which the individual acquires immunological memory.
ACTIVE IMMUNITY NATURAL .- is acquired through an immune response unprovoked.
ARTIFICIAL ACTIVE IMMUNITY .- induced by vaccines.
PASSIVE IMMUNITY .- when antibodies that confer immunity are produced by another body. Its action is short and does not create lasting immunological memory
PASSIVE IMMUNITY NATURAL .- · antibodies naturally pass mother to child Dela
PASSIVE IMMUNITY · ARTIFICIAL .- enter the body by other antibodies formed
PATHOLOGIES IMMUNE TOLERANCE .- specific state of non-response to an antigen.
AUTOIMMUNITY .- immune system does not recognize its own cells and molecules produced an immune response against himself
HYPERSENSITIVITY .- is an exaggerated response against pathogens
Allergy is a response to a normally harmless substance. Substances that cause allergies are called allergens and are very varied. Allergic responses are varied
.- IMMUNODEFICIENCIES absence or failure of the normal function of one or more elements of the immune system
TUMOR IMMUNITY .- tumor cells to be recognized as foreign trigger the immune response
TRANSPLANT REJECTION .- donor antigens can cause
immune rejection response in the receiver
