Minerals salts: Substances that can be found in living things in the form of disolved ions.

Carbohydrates: Monosaccharides are composed of one molecule, disaccharide are formed when two monosaccharides Are joined. Polysaccharides  are formed When many monosaccharides are joined

Lipids: These molecules vary widely in chemical structure, include facts, phospholipids And cholesterol.

Proteins: These large biomolecules are composed of many smaller molecules called amino Acids. Ej: collagen, haemoglobin and antibodies.

Nucleic acids: These macromolecules are composed of smaller ones called nucleotides they are Two types: DNA and RNA.

Organ: a group of tissue (organs) that work together to perform (one or more functions)a specific function or action.

Human tissue:is a group of specialized cells that work together to perform a specific function.

Epithelial= two Types:

-covering: its covers internal and external body, type varies: epidermis, mucous membrane, Endothelia

-glandular: makes up the glands, it produces and secretes substances, types: exocrine glands, Endocrine glands, mixed glands.

connective this tissue Connects other tissue

-three Components: cell, fibres and matrix

-the Several types:

osseous or Bone tissue= osteoblasts, produces a strong, solid matrix.

adipose Tissue= is made up of adipocytes, they are store lipids

cartilage tissue=cells are called chondrocytes, Contain elastic fibres and produce solid

dense connective tissue=(tendons)

blood Tissue=is made up of white bloods cells and red

muscle it Contains protein filaments of actin and myosin, they are three types:

-smooth muscle tissue -skeletal -cardiac

nervous transmit and receive information throughout the body, two types:

-nervous: They transmit nerve impulses                                                          -glial Cells: they nourish and support the neurons, they do not transmit nerve Impulses.
