No, many of the signers inc. Thomas Jefferson, owned slaves and were unwilling to extend these basic rights to African Americans. Laws limited the rights of women & native Americans who were denied the right to live and govern themselves on their own land.

The Declaration accuses King George of encouraging “merciless Indian savages” to attack colonists on the frontier. Colonists considered native americans to be barbarians who attacked indiscriminately.

Battle of Bunker Hill- Breed's hill, a small armament was on top of this hill and the colonies had control over it. Battle of Trenton dec- Washington launched a surprise attack on the Hessian forces in Trenton NJ after crossing the Delaware river just north of it. The colonists won due to the surprise factor they held during the battle.

Battle of Saratoga (TP)- The British surrender. The British threat to New England is over. This increases American Spirits & since France saw us win, they joined the war on the American side (allie).

Valley Forge (TP)- Continental army camp during the winter of. Severe winter killing many. (no food, proper housing, clothing, disease-smallpox) Greatest example of motivation for freedom.

Yorktown- George Washington (Americans) took the last W of the revolution against Charles Cornwallis in Yorktown after being surrounded by the Continental army.

Treaty of Paris 1783- Treaty between America and Great Britain, signed on September 3rd of 1783. Colonists (U.S) are recognized as a nation. Independent nation. Borders were decided canada(n), mississippi river(w), florida(s).
