Blood travels round the body in bloodvessels.Thearteriescarry blood from the heart to all parts of the body while blood returns to the heart inveins.

The heart is apumpwith fourchambers, two ventricles and twoatria.The left ventricle has a much thinckerWalltan the right because it is resposible forpumpingblood around thesystemiccirculatory system. Blood is forced round the system bycontraction (sístole)andrelaxation (diástole)of the heart.Systolic:in the systolic phase the heart contracts, blood pressure rises and blood moves out along the vessels.Diastolic:in the diastolic phase the heart relaxes, blood pressure falls and blood fills the heart
