*ECONOMIC: single crop and extraction economic.
Indigenous couldn't complete with the colonists' manufactured products, and gradually disappeared and the world was organized unequally.
*DEMOGRAPHIC: emigration of inhabitants to the colonies.
*SOCIAL AND CULTURAL: colonizing imposed Western Cultures. Social and racial segregation was developed because they thought they were superior.
COLONIAL TENSION AND CONFLICTS:
*At Berlin Conference, the European countries interested in controlling the Congo agreed to delegate control of the religion to the king of Belgium.
THE BOXER REBELLION
Colony: A country or region controlled politically by another country.
The boxers: A Chinese secret society that wanted to expel the foreigners.
