1-First Phase: Axis Offensives (1939-1941)
Germany had a number of early victories in Europe occupying Poland, Denmark, Norway, The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and France.
This victories were due to Blitzkrieg strategy that was a military technique based on speed and surprise. This technique was supported by bomber planes and infantry. This tactic wanted to improve the "Schlieffen Plan".

In april of 1941, Italy and Germany invaded Greece, and more countries joined the axis powers, including Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and Bulgaria.
In June 1941, Germany attacked the USSR "Operation Barbarossa" and the USSR responded by joining the Allies.
In december of 1941 the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor and the USA entered WW2.
