Players shall change ends
· at the end of the first game
· at the end of the second game, if there is to be a third game
· in the third game when a side first scores 11 points.
o A match consists of the best of 3 games of 21 points with a minimum lead of two points. O At 20 all, the side which gains a 2 point lead first, wins that game. O At 29 all, the side scoring the 30th point, wins that game.
o The side winning a game serves first in the next game. O A point is scored when you successfully hit the shuttlecock over the net and land it in your
opponent’s court before they hit it. A point can also be gained when your opponent fouls.
The server and the receiver must be within the diagonal box service. The server services with the head of the racket below the handle and hitting the shuttlecock below his/her waist. If the server doesn’t hit the shuttle is a foul. The shuttle has to pass over the net and to drop into the diagonal box service. The server must not service before the receiver is ready. In doubles, couples can be placed in any position that does not impede the view of the server ir receiver
Singles: o The players shall serve from, and receive in, their respective right service courts when the server has not scored or has scored an even number of points in that game. O The players shall serve from, and receive in, their respective left service courts when the server has scored an odd number of points in that game. O The player who wins a rally, scores a point and is the server in the new rally.
