-Proposes the understanding of the social world which is built at a daily basis by humans, which at the same time are built in

-Functionalism->every social system consists of 4 functional sub-systems -> economic (solve the problem of physical survival), cultural(make people think they have things in common), political(find ways of governing and controling people), family(raise up children into good members of society)
-Marx->work was the most important activity. Relations of production(owner, manager, wage, labourer). Workplace(key area of conflict). Means of production(create wealth->ruling class). Socialisation(interests of ruling class are the interets of everyone). Forces of production(raw materials, thorugh labour power to machinery is organised in the productive process). Ruling class(politival and economic power). 
-Feminist theory ->liberal feminism->sexual discrimination->gender inequality//->marxist feminism->female opression, explotation and discrimination (class inequality/men exploit in womens market position)//--->Radical feminism-> women are paid less and have lower status, unpaid domestic work.
-Action approach->daily routines->produce and reproduce social order through their individual and collective behaviour./->society doesnt exist physically, it exists mentally./->people act as a force have an effect on them, limitating and controlling their behaviour -> social order and stability./->order is more psychologically tahn disorder.
-Marxism and social change->conflict between the contradictory insterests in capitalists forms of economic production, competition leads to conflict, micro-> workers strike for more money, macro->conflict lead to a bigger political and economic change
-Functionalism and social change->structural differentation/->changes with one sub-system causes changes in the others/->some institutions lose functions and other gain funtions.
-Feminism and socil change ->Liberal feminism-> change can be created through the legal system, anti- discr. Reduce gender. Marxist F.-> gender inequality to eco. Inequality, development of patriarchal ideas, improve position of women. Radical F.->male dom. Is based, overthrowing the ruling sex class, establish matriarchal society-> equality and mutual respect
